Dar Papa Franġisku – Male Emergency Shelter

The aim of the shelter is to accommodate males between the ages of 18 and 59 who, due to diverse issues (including drug and alcohol use, incarceration, mental health difficulties and familial problems among others, experience homelessness). Minors may make use of the service as well if accompanied by their parent/s or legal guardian/s. The shelter meets the individuals’ basic needs and provides shelter, food, clothing, hygienic and laundry services. The shelter has a capacity of twenty beds, which are available on a first come, first serve basis and is in operation 24/7. In addition, through social work interventions and a holistic approach, Dar Papa Franġisku aims to serve as the bridge between being homeless and moving onto independent living or further supported accommodation.

Dar Papa Frangisku – Noon Service

The noon service is open daily at Dar Papa Franġisku between noon and 14:30pm. The service includes a warm meal, hygienic and laundry services all year round to individuals who are experiencing drug and alcohol use, mental health difficulties, solitude, and familial difficulties amongst the many other experiences that these individuals share and trust us with.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, the service was reverted to a take-out service only. Presently, the lunch service is fully open, whilst allowing open the option of a take-out service and not solely a dine-in service
