Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena is a joint effort between the Ministry for Family, Children’s Rights and Social Solidarity, Caritas Malta and the Alfred Mizzi Foundation to help individuals experiencing homelessness in Malta and Gozo. Moreover, the aim of the foundation is also to alleviate poverty and to support people in need. The foundation has three shelters, two of which are emergency homeless shelters, the first of their kind in Malta, and a third which is a long-term residential shelter and programme. The foundation also offers lunch, hygienic and laundry services daily to people in need.
